Why Shred With PreventaTheft?
With the Data Protection Act 1998 and the introduction of GDPR in May 2018 the way we all handle any personal data, including names, addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses and more, has to be accountable.
GDPR - Non-compliance from 25 May 2018 will see organisations being fined up to 20 million Euro or 4% of their annual turnover, whichever is greater.
Data protection and security will need to be auditable and we, at PreventaTheft, can provide the necessary documents to show a robust audit trail for the destruction of all personal data, including hard drives and mobile telephones, along with your confidential paper waste. We will provide a Duty of Care: Controlled Waste Transfer Note on collection of your confidential waste and then issue a Certificate of Destruction at the time of destruction.
As 80% of data breach is found to be an internal issue we recommend a clear desk and shred all policy and we are able to provide cardboard paper recycling bins or secure lockers to assist you, if required, along with our confidential paper waste bags, supplied free of charge.
Collection Options
We offer the following collection options for both Personal and Business customers:
Option 1: Ad Hoc Collections
You call us when you require a collection, however we will also check periodically with you to ensure your collection is not overlooked.
Option 2: Regular Collections
We can collect from you on a regular basis to ensure your needs are met. We are able to diarise daily, weekly and monthly collections or any alternative interval to suit you.

For large amounts or regular paper we offer a large, lockable wheelie bin for secure storage - Skips
For high volume one offs, loose paper , bags or boxes it doesn't matter what goes in here
Hard Drive and Miscellaneous Shredding
In addition to paper shredding, we can also securely destroy computer data storage, for example hard drives, tablets, mobile phones, bank cards, tapes, CD/DVD ROMs.
